The focus of this round table session is on how Marine Energy can attribute to the production of Hydrogen. It is led by Mairéad Connolly, Hydrogen Development Officer at EMEC – the European Marine Energy Centre based in Orkney - partner in the Marine Energy Alliance (MEA).
Within the Marine Energy Alliance (MEA) project several maritime sectors have been identified as promising new markets to unlock the potential of Marine Energy. MEA partners are collecting insights from market parties in these sectors to identify suitable solutions from ME technology developers and create business plan blueprints for each sector. The session will be supported by William Groundwater from EMEC, who has been working on EMEC's research on hydrogen and marine energy within the MEA project.
In this round table session, we would like to get the discussion started on the following:
1) What do people see as the main attractions or opportunities for producing H2 from offshore renewables?
2) What are the key challenges associated with H2 production from offshore renewables?
3) How can we address these challenges and find solutions moving forward?
Would you like to be part of this? Please take a seat at our table.
If the time slot of the round table session does not match your calendar, please come and meet Mairéad and William as well as other MEA partners in the Marine Energy Pavilion, stand 1.241.
